ARC is a non-profit, community based organization aimed at economic empowerment of the community through various environmental projects dealing with restoration of the coast.

The Members of ARC have noted an increasing degradation of the coastal area and its negative impact on the economic health of Bagamoyo community. We registered Alliance to Restore the Coast (ARC) in order to assist the local community, government and other partners to improve their economy by restoration and protection of the coastal environment.

Our objectives are:

• To Restore Mangrove Forests
• To Clean the Beach and Manage various Types of Waste
• To Protect Biodiversity and Habitats for Native Species

We are a committed group of volunteers who believe in a holistic approach towards managing a sustainable ecosystem which will benefit the community. Despite the economic challenges of the last few years, we have used our time, knowledge and experience, as well as our own inadequate resources to fund various projects.
